Olney Days Party in the Park is a celebration of Olney that expects 5000 people to enjoy live music, food trucks, games (for young and older children), a beer & wine garden, and fireworks.
Volunteer Information (how to get there/what to expect) is on our website

Olney Days Party in the Park has volunteer needs for its Fun on the Fields event. Several roles are needed, and volunteers will rotate around the different roles so nobody will do the same thing the entire time.
These include:
- Helping people get situated to do the Slingshot and/or collecting balls from the landing area
- Oversee kids running the bases: time them (timer provided),
- Fill out a certificate with the participant's name and time it took to run the bases
- Oversee kids playing in the outfield with items provided - soccer balls, frisbees, can jam, etc to be sure everyone gets along and no equipment disappears
- Oversee corn hole and Jenga near the stage and encourage folks to play (it is free) and watch to be sure no items go missing
- Count the number of people entering the event, recording the total number every 15 minutes (will be given a counter)
- Hand out programs at the entrance to the event
A cellphone number is required for event reminders. Please provide additional phone numbers (if available) under the 'additional volunteer information' section in your response.
- Training will be provided on the day of the event
- A maximum of 8 hours of SSL can be provided and approved per day
- SSL Forms will be available on-site. (Please do not bring your own SSL forms)
- One can sign up for both shifts and work 2:30 - 8:00 pm
- This event is entirely outside and will be held rain or shine
Thank you for your interest and helping us make this a great event!
