Olney Days Free Paper Shred and Electronics Recycling event provides the Olney community an opportunity to properly recycle and dispose of unwanted items.
As a volunteer, you may be asked to direct cars and/or help move boxes of paper, household goods, clothes, blankets, and other items from cars to the appropriate truck. The skills you may use include importance of event set up and traffic flow, giving directions, learning what can be recycled, and physical strength by moving materials from cars to trucks.
- Training will be provided on the day of the event
- SSL Forms will be available on-site. (Please do not bring your SSL forms)
- This event is entirely outside and will be held rain or shine
- A cellphone number is required for event reminders. Please provide additional phone numbers (if available) under the 'additional volunteer information' section in your response
Volunteers must be able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds (think box of paper).
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
