Description

We are looking for middle and high school aged students to serve as peer buddies to children with special needs participating in our after-school soccer program at Rock View Elementary in Kensington. The peer buddy's role is to encourage the players, help them participate to the best of their ability and work with them to find success on the field. The program runs once a week for an hour each afternoon.  The session runs for 7 weeks from 3:30 - 4:30pm and begins on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.  We expect our volunteers to attend all 7 sessions in order to maintain consistency for our players.  SSL hours will be provided for time spent volunteering.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
