Join BetterPlanet4Kids and Montgomery Parks for a volunteer cleanup celebrating Earth Month!
- Students must register online to receive SSL hours. Do not use an MCPS email.
- Children under 14 years old must volunteer with a parent or guardian.
- SSL forms are provided at the cleanup.
- Walk-in volunteers are welcome as long as underage volunteers attend with a parent or guardian.
- This opportunity is not eligible for court-ordered service.
How to register:
- Click on the register button.
- Scroll down to find the cleanup on April 25th.
- Select Apply and login or create an account.
- Follow all of the prompts to complete your registration.
- If you would like to add parents or family members to your sign-up, send us an email.
We’ll send cleanup details to all registered volunteers on the week of the cleanup. Please note that when an event fills up, it disappears from the schedule. Contact the Watershed Cleanups Program staff if you need assistance with registration.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
