**Must register directly with Montgomery Parks Workday for Garden Bed Fencing opportunity**
Join Meadowside Nature Center staff and volunteers on Thursday, May 7 at 4-6pm to help enclose garden beds with fencing!
The fencing materials are pre-ordered and require hammering into the ground. This involves lifting and stabilizing fence posts and manual hammering with a rubber mallet.
Please wear closed toe shoes, layers of clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a hat, sunglasses, bug spray, sun block, and packed food to eat. We do have a small kitchen with a fridge where you can store and heat up food in a microwave.
For ages 16+; this volunteer service is eligible for Student Service Learning Hours.

- Then click "Login" if you are an existing volunteer or "New Volunteer" if this is your first time signing up to volunteer with Montgomery Parks.
If there are "No shifts available", then the occupancy for the workday filled up. Please contact volunteer.mnc@montgomeryparks.org if you need to cancel your shift.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
