Join us for our Henson Birthday Celebration at the Josiah Henson Museum & Park!
Guests will have a fun time celebrating this local hero's birthday while learning about Montgomery County history. Volunteers help make this fun happen!

There are two shifts. On the park's website, sign up by clicking Job Details (if it's showing at bottom of descriptions) and then on the Schedule tab:
9:30am - 1pm (5 spots for Age 14+): Help set up the event, then will help with a variety of activities, games, crafts, and concessions.
9:30am - 1pm (5 spots for Age 18+): Help set up the event, then will help with a variety of activities, crafts, monitoring a fire ring, operating a popcorn machine and concessions.
1 to 4:30pm (5 spots for Age 14+): Help with a variety of activities, games, crafts, and concessions until the event ends at 4 pm, then will assist in cleaning up.
1 to 4:30pm (5 spots for Age 18+): Help with a variety of activities, crafts, monitoring a fire ring, operating a popcorn machine and concessions. then will assist in cleaning up.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
