Red Wiggler Community Farm is hiring 2021 seasonal interns!
This position is for you if:
- You feel a strong connection with others and want to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.
- You’re ready to work side-by-side with team members of all abilities, learning the details of organic vegetable production.
- You want hands-on experience to explore Care Farming, nonprofits, or disability services as a career path.
- Your favorite subjects include eating, biology, environmental science, engineering, cooking, sustainable agriculture, agroecology, community outreach, farm education, or all of the above.
- You bring curiosity and insightful questions with you every morning. Your dream job allows you to be outdoors, using your hands to make the world a better place and nourish your community.
The Fine Print
We ask for: 10 weeks, scheduled in full weeks between Apr 1 – Nov 20, 2021
Monday - Friday, 8 AM until we finish (no later than 4 PM)
Background check required
We offer:
Either assistance with service learning (SSL) requirements OR $100/week stipend
A full CSA share of our veggies!
Seminars & training onsite; offsite farm tours if pandemic allows!

This is a field volunteer position, and requires working alongside participants growing, harvesting, and maintaining the fields every day. Red Wiggler is committed to safely navigating the pandemic with our community. Everyone on farm must adhere to our safety protocols.
These positions could start as soon as Apr 1st; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
