We are seeking a student musician to accompany Sunday School children as they sing during Children’s Worship in the Sunday School chapel. Pianists and students who play other suitable instruments are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities: · Accompany children’s songs during Sunday School chapel · Prepare and practice the assigned music in advance · Work cooperatively with Sunday School leaders and children · May assist with lesson plans and activities
Qualifications: · Proficiency on the piano or another suitable instrument · Ability to prepare and perform musical accompaniment independently · Dependability and punctuality· Patience and enthusiasm for working with children
Schedule: Sunday mornings on an agreed-upon schedule. Students will only earn SSL hours for the time spent assisting with Children's Worship, not for the time spent preparing and practicing the assigned music in advance.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
