Washington Conservatory of Music is looking for a friendly and responsible student volunteer to assist our team at the Washington Folk Festival. The volunteer will help at our school information and registration table and assist with welcoming festival attendees. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in music, arts, education, community events, or nonprofit organizations to gain hands-on experience supporting a local community arts organization.
What We Are Looking For :
Friendly, responsible, and comfortable speaking with the public.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Interest in music, arts, education, or community service is a plus.
No previous experience is required. Staff will provide instructions and support.
Service-Learning Benefit :
This volunteer opportunity provides students with practical experience in community engagement, event coordination, communication, customer service, and nonprofit arts administration while supporting music education in the local community.
Volunteer Shift: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Service Hours: 5 hours
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
