Volunteers needed who know how to crochet or knit (or both) who are willing to help assist the Wheaton Arts Parade during their Free Workshop held at Wheaton Library
The event is open to the public from 1PM until 2:30PM. We ask that volunteers arrive by 12:45 and stay until 2:45 to receive 2 hours of SSL.
Students will act as assistants - helping others learn to crochet and knit and other yarn art skills. You will assist the lead volunteers by handing out materials and supporting however is needed. Help give out marketing materials for those interested in learning more about programs etc.

Learn to knit and crochet, or share your knowledge with other enthusiasts. For yarn artists of all levels and ages. Materials will be provided.
The Wheaton Arts Parade (WAP), including the Yarn Bomb, produces the annual Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival, has an art gallery and conducts art workshops in the local area.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
