Damascus Sports Association (DSA) - Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours: DSA is continually looking for youth volunteers to assist coaches with our youth sports program. Sports offering includes: Baseball, Basketball, Cheer & Poms, Football, Lacrosse, Softball, and Wrestling (seasons vary by sport). DSA is a feeder program into Damascus High School sports, and have sports offering from 4-13years old. Please contact our sports Commissioners for SSL opportunities. Youth volunteers opportunities range from coaching assistant, photographer, event support, and videographers to assist at weekday evening practices(s), events, and games. All practices and games vary by sport and are generally located within Montgomery County or adjacent counties. The ideal youth volunteer will have sports experience and enjoy teaching/mentoring young children. To provide consistency for our players, the ideal youth volunteer should be available for a practice time and/or game each week during the sports season.
Assistants under the age of 18 must also register on the DSA Website - SI Play system and are required to respond to the opportunity through the Montgomery County Volunteering Center website by using the "Respond" button within the DSA opportunity.
