Stay Local Saturdays was created to celebrate Clarksburg’s vibrant local community by showcasing small businesses, makers, and community organizations in a welcoming, festive setting. Held on the second Saturday of each month, these themed events connect neighbors with high-quality local products, creative experiences, and family-friendly fun. Our goal is to support and spotlight local talent while creating meaningful opportunities for vendors and partners, and memorable gatherings that invite the community to shop local, connect, and celebrate all that Clarksburg has to offer.
What will I be doing?
Volunteers will help create a positive and organized experience for everyone attending the event. Responsibilities may include helping with set-up and clean-up, greeting guests, assisting with activities, supporting local vendors or booths, helping families navigate the event, and making sure activity areas stay clean and welcoming. Volunteers may also help answer questions and assist event leaders throughout the day as needed.
The market is held outdoors, so we encourage all volunteers to bring water bottles, wear comfortable clothing, and closed-toed shoes.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
