It’s Like a Yard Sale, but Better!
It’s that time again! Time to gather your things for the sixth community SWAP! It’s a SWAP because everything is free and everyone is welcome – you don’t even need to bring anything to participate. The SWAP will be held at Clarksburg Church (22820 Frederick Road, 20871) on Saturday, August 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
What can be SWAPPED?
Almost all gently used items can be swapped. In SWAPs past, we have had:
- baby clothes
- adult clothes
- books (child and adult)
- light furniture*
- kitchenware
- appliances
- household items (lamps, rugs, etc.)
- baby/child items
*No heavy office furniture, please.
I want to bring gently used items to the SWAP. What do I do?
We will be accepting gently used items on Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Saturday we will accept SWAP items from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
What happens with remaining items?
Clothing items that are not SWAPPED are donated to the Clarksburg Closet and the Vietnam Veterans of America.
SWAP Team Volunteers Needed
Our SWAP team is seeking the help of 8 additional volunteers for the day of the SWAP.
