To honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Eta Pi Zeta Chapter will host a Day of Service Volunteer Site at Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center in Rockville, Maryland.
Planned Service Projects include:
- Professional clothes and others clothes- Donating to women shelter (Not eligible for SSL)
- Create Crochet Beanie hats for babies in Neo Unit at Shady Grove Adventist.
- Creating card/self-care kits for first responders.
- Make Valentine cards –to Veterans
- Make hygiene kits for homeless shelter(toothpaste , toothbrush, deodorant and tissues)
- Making hygiene Kits for kids
- Making DIY mini flags for veterans 30 x 30 move in kits
- Making Spring Flowers for Seniors
- Making friendship bracelets for pediatric or adult cancer patients
- Create Care Back bags
- Making Bookmarks for school- Adopt a school program
- Community Advocacy- Documentary on Community and Social Justice
*Students may receive SSL hours for some of the projects

Volunteers under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Once you sign up, you are confirmed as a volunteer. No further action is needed.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
