Description

The Civic Circle’s second annual Youth Democracy Fest seeks volunteers! Come help staff tables, hand out flyers, serve refreshments and support students on March 14 from 4-6 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center. This free, family-friendly event will celebrate democracy and the Semiquincentennial (the nation’s 250th anniversary), and will feature uplifting songs, poetry, art and speeches by youth in our community. Students must have parental approval. Students younger than 15 must be accompanied by adult.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
