LAMB PCS Admission & Community Fair (Spanish Fluency Required)
Description: On Saturday, February 24th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, we will be participating in a tabling event sponsored by Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School (LAMB PCS) "Admission & Community Fair". This event will be an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves to the local community and engage with them on an individual basis. We will be tabling at this event as an invitee to share information with the community about our services and support we provide. We are looking to have 4 volunteers, broken up into two shifts, to join us at our table to help speak about our services to individuals stopping by.
NOTE: Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is required to participate in this opportunity.
Responsible to: Our Volunteer Coordinator, Connor Paul, as well as our Senior Case Manager, Diana Fitz
# of Volunteers Requesting: We are looking for at least 2 volunteers to join us and assist at our event from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM). The specific shift requirements and capacity still available is noted in the sign ups below.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as an Ayuda representative at our LAMB PCS table
- Connecting with passerby's to speak about the services we provide as an organization
- Managing the table including setting out additional materials and keeping a tidy/visually appealing space
- Assisting with table breakdown and packing up at the end of the event
Qualifications:
- Volunteers joining will absolutely need to be bilingual (English/Spanish) as a main component of assistance will be handling all Spanish communication with passerby.
- Volunteers joining will need to be personable, outgoing, and engaging with strong public speaking skills and an ability to connect with individuals from any background.
