Description: On Tuesday, April 16th from 5:45 PM - 7:00 PM, we will be organizing our own event in collaboration with the Montgomery County Police Department "Building Bridges". This event will be an opportunity for us to help our clients connect with local law enforcement in a safe environment while also being able to learn about the support they can provide. As the sponsors of the event, rather than tabling, we will be organizing and are thus looking to have 4 volunteers, across two separate shifts, to help support with the registration and breakdown of the event.
NOTE: Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is required to participate in this opportunity.
Responsible to: Our Volunteer Coordinator, Connor Paul, as well as our MD Office Social Services team
# of Volunteers Requesting: We are looking for at least 4 volunteers to join us and assist at our event, 2 for the registration shift (5:00 PM - 6:00 PM) and 2 for the second shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 PM). The specific shift requirements and capacity still available is noted in the sign ups below.
Shift description:
- Set Up/Registration Shift (5:00 PM - 6:00 PM): Volunteers will assist with last minute setup needed in addition to helping with registration and check in as sign ups start to arrive.
- Breakdown Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 PM): Volunteers during this shift will assist with post-event breakdown at the end, cleaning/tidying up needed, as well as packing up of our internal materials to be transported back to our office.
