Description

We are seeking a creative, organized high-school student to help promote concerts and other special events at St. Paul's for community members to access. The student may also provide administrative assistance to the Council President, Pastor, and Office Manager.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Researching low-cost and no-cost opportunities to publicize concerts and special events
  • Developing and maintaining a contact list of community calendars, newspapers, websites, social media groups, schools, businesses, and other promotional outlets
  • Draft event announcements, flyers, or other promotional material
  • Posting event information to approved community calendars and online platforms
  • Keeping marketing contacts and event information organized and up to date
  • Providing occasional administrative support to the Council President, Pastor, and Office Manager (assisting with filing, data entry, document preparation, and other office projects as needed)

Qualifications: Interest in marketing, communications, event promotion, or office administration. Good written and verbal communication skills, basic computer and internet research skills. Organized and attentive to detail. Dependable and able to complete assignments in a timely manner. Able to work independently and follow instructions. Respectful of confidential or sensitive information. Prior marketing or office experience is helpful but not required. Guidance will be provided.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
