CareerCatchers is a workforce development nonprofit in Montgomery County that that does intense career and job search counseling for low-income/disadvantaged residents who are seeking careers with upward mobility. We provide a unique mix of individual counseling, small-group raining, and individualized support.
CareerCatchers is looking for volunteers to tutor and mentor clients remotely for entrance exams or coursework in their chosen careers. We need the following:
- A nurse or someone with a health care background to tutor a client for the RN-NCLEX exam, which is required to get a US RN license. Our client will take the exam in July.
- A health care specialist or nurse who can help a client with the reading section of the TEAS exam, the entrance exam for an RN program.
- A bilingual Spanish-English speaker, to help a client with ESL classes.
- A financial services professional, to mentor a client with an economics degree from Togo, who wants to get into the banking field here.
