The National Capital Optimist Club is hosting an Optimist qualifier tournament starting at 9:00 AM on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the historic Langston Golf Course in Washington, D.C. for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships later this year in Miami, FL.
Golf experience for volunteers is not required but is helpful. Volunteers can help with check-in, gift bags, collecting scores and other administrative tasks.
Drinks, snacks and a meal in the golf course grill room is provided. For special needs diets, please provide your own.
The event is outdoors in the weather, dress accordingly and wear sunscreen. this event will happen unless the golf course is closed.
You need to provide transportation to and from the event.
This event is for youth so you will be working with other people your age.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
