Description

We are delighted to introduce you to the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program (FGP), an incredible opportunity to have a profound impact on the lives of elementary-aged children in Montgomery County. The FGP program is specifically designed to provide vital social and academic support to young learners, thereby boosting their school readiness and enriching their overall educational experience. We are excited to share that our dedicated Foster Grandparents are now actively engaged in offering one-on-one support at local elementary schools and various host sites across the county.

As we continue to expand our program, we are now welcoming individuals aged 55 and above to join our team as Foster Grandparents. This age requirement allows us to bring the wisdom and life experience of our seniors to the forefront, creating even more meaningful connections with the children we serve. In recognition of your invaluable service, Foster Grandparents receive a stipend of $4 per hour.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and wish to become a Foster Grandparent, we invite you to sign up today. Should you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to reach out to Rochele Jones at 301-225-4238 or via email at rjones@accessjca.org. Rochele will be thrilled to guide you through the process of becoming a Foster Grandparent.

Join us in this fulfilling journey, and together, we can help create a brighter future for the children of Montgomery County through the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program. Your experience and dedication will be an invaluable asset to our community.
