MusicAid (https://www.musicaid.us/home) is a student-led organization. As proud SSL partners with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Maryland.

We are a National 501(c)(3) non-profit and tax-exempt organization. MusicAid is one of the certifying organizations participating in the President’s Volunteer Service Award program.

Founded in July 2023, MusicAid has organized and contributed to 100+concerts by the end of 2025, involving 1.5k+ cumulative attendees and more than 500 unique student musicians. These include performances at 5 senior homes, NIH Atrium, Children's National Hospital in D.C. We also provided More than 20 free piano accompaniments to musicians who couldn't afford the fee. We're looking forward to hosting more concerts in the future.

MusicAid is proud to be recognized by the Montgomery County Board of Education. The certificate states: “In recognition of your outstanding dedication to expanding musical opportunities for students and enriching our communities through education, service, and performances.” Signed by Julie Yang, President of the Board of Education on December 6, 2025, highlighting MusicAid’s impact in the community.

We are actively recruiting talented musicians from K-12 to join our mission. MusicAid hosts biweekly or monthly concerts at various assisted living facilities near Potomac and Arlington, Join MusicAid today and earn up to 4 SSL hours for contributing to our concert performances! SSL hours vary based on your performance duration and the length of the concert.

We appreciate all types of performances, including but not limited to instrument playing, singing, dancing, talk shows, comedy acts, poetry readings, and more. Whether you're a solo act, duo, trio, or group, you're invited to perform.

We offer the following equipment at the facility: a piano, a music stand, and a Bluetooth speaker. A Microphone will also be provided for singing performance.

Archaeology Day gives families a chance to get a glimpse into the world of an archaeologist!

This free, family-friendly day is filled with hands-on activities, demonstrations, games, costumed interpreters, food trucks, music, and more! Volunteers are essential for the success of this event! There are three ways to volunteer with Family Archaeology Day:

The UpCounty Hub is serving families in need. We provide fresh produce, shelf stable foods, emergency and hygiene items, activity kits for kids and social services for the families that we serve.

We are in need of volunteers to assist in our monthly diaper distribution/pantry at The Upcounty Hub. Volunteers' duties vary from handing out diapers to families with appointments to assisting in the food pantry. 

We have added a Tuesday shift (am and pm) to assist our Social Services Team with clients using the pantry. Diapers will NOT be distributed on Tuesday, this is a pantry only volunteer opportunity.

 Please arrive five to ten minutes prior to start time to check in.

Volunteer with The Urban Studio in celebrating Montgomery County Green Fest while also connecting the community with nature in the Chesapeake Bay through art. This tabling event aims to provide nature art-themed coloring pages where families can stop by the table and color illustrations of local plants and animals.

A guided, nature-based art experience focused on exploration and fun

For SSL hours, join us in the setup and facilitation for a free, lively, exploratory pop-up workshop designed to spark imagination and creative confidence. You will help to experiment, combine materials, break small rules, and follow curiosity rather than instructions. Assist them in discovering native plants and animals, rain gardens, or neighborhood green spaces, and create unique line drawings that can be used as coloring pages or shared with others. Premade coloring pages will also be available for attendees who do not want to paint.

You will be working with kids for this volunteer opportunity since this workshop will be geared towards kids ages 6-12.

For students looking to earn SSL hours, you will be supporting the workshop facilitators in setting up, leading, and post workshop cleaning.

No prior art experience is required, and all materials are provided.

Join Rock Creek Conservancy, Potomac Conservancy, and Montgomery Parks for a litter removal restoration event at Aspen Hill Local Park. Trash is the visible form of stormwater pollution, a major threat to water quality and park health and its removal makes the parklands cleaner, safer, and more beautiful for all. This event is part of the Annual Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup - a month-long push to remove litter throughout the Rock Creek watershed! Additional information will be sent from the event leader one business day before the event. Event location, directions, and information will be sent from the event leader 48 hours prior to the event.

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the work and weather. We recommend wearing sturdy boots or sneakers and long layers, including pants and long sleeves - this ensures safety and reduces likelihood of exposure to nuisances like poison ivy. 

What to bring: We recommend bringing water, and snacks if desired. Tools and supplies will be provided. Please bring your own gloves if you have them.

Decorate beautiful journals that recipients can use as appointment planners, symptom trackers, or simply coloring books. The covers and a few pages inside could be spaces for volunteers to draw outlines or artwork, write inspiring messages, etc.

For those seeking service hours: As of August 11, 2023, we ONLY accept store-bought journals that you decorate yourself for service hours, but not composition notebooks. The outside covers should be decorated with hand-drawn art and/or handwritten inspiring quotes. Using only stickers or decorative tape is not acceptable for service hours. At least one of the inside pages should also be decorated with calendars, activity or coloring pages, handwritten inspiring messages, etc.

Undecorated store-bought journals are always welcome but are not eligible for service hours. Handmade journals may be accepted only if pre-approved and exceptionally well-made.

Warrior Canine Connection is a non-profit organization which breeds, raises and trains dogs with the assistance of Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), or mobility issues. These dogs are eventually placed as service dogs for Wounded Warriors, military family support dogs, or facility dogs for Veteran Organizations. We are actively seeking volunteers to serve as Puppy Parents for future service dogs in training and would love for Montgomery County youth to co-raise with their parent or guardian.

For the duration of their training, WCC pups live in Puppy Raiser's homes. In addition to any training the dogs do with Warriors, they are constantly working on their skills in a home environment and at training sessions at WCC. 

Puppy Raisers train our service dogs for 4 to 20 months before the dogs graduate and are placed with their forever Veteran. Each puppy goes home with his or her Puppy Parent between the ages of 8-12 weeks. To be considered for this important task, you must be willing and able to provide the following support and training for the WCC service dog in training:

As a youth co-raiser, you can earn 1 SSL hour for each day that you have the dog and take an active role in its training and healthcare (This is not a dog fostering program).  In order to demonstrate this you must attend weekly trainings, complete monthly progress reports, submit the daily reflective journal every 12 weeks, and bring your dog to Head Quarters in Germantown when necessary.  If not all parts are completed, the student will only earn a portion of the hours based on their involvement.  This is a big responsibility, but it will be so rewarding.  Not only can you earn SSL hours, but you will be serving the Veteran community, learning how to train a dog, and this experience will look amazing on college resumes.

Birthday Cakes 4 Free Maryland (BC4F) is a nonprofit organization that collects and delivers birthday cakes to financially and socially disadvantaged children and seniors. We are an entirely student run organization!

Anyone can become a volunteer! There is no minimum age requirement. This is a great way to start earning SSL hours in middle school. 

Students bake cakes in their homes. Cakes must meet the container guidelines which are outlined on www.bc4f.org. The decoration/flavor/design of your cake(s) is up to you but we would prefer if you could write “Happy Birthday!” on your cake(s). You can make a cake from a cake mix or your favorite recipe. Round, square or rectangle cakes are all okay as long as they are individually and securely boxed, with lids taped for transport. Round cakes must have multiple layers. Single layer 9" round cakes will not earn SSL hours. We also accept cupcakes. Twenty-four cupcakes are equivalent to one cake. Cake requirements are posted on our website.  We DO NOT accept pies or alternative baked goods. ALL decorations MUST be edible. https://www.bc4f.org/faq

How to Sign-Up to Bake Cakes

You must SIGN-UP for our Newsletter in order to receive the Google Form to sign-up to bake cakes. To subscribe, go to https://www.bc4f.org/newsletter. DO NOT USE an MCPS email address as all external emails are blocked. Once a month, you will receive information about delivery dates, delivery address, and delivery times. Currently, we accept cake donations on one Sunday a month. Our current delivery location is in Rockville near Farmland Elementary School. The Google Form is included in the monthly Newsletter so that you can sign-up with the number of cakes you would like to donate. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF CAKES DONATED IN ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE MORE VOLUNTEERS. The SSL form is provided at the time/date of cake delivery as long as the cake(s) meet donation requirements. SSL hours are awarded as follows:

Goshen Elementary School PTA has been selected by National PTA to host STEM + Families initiative: Propelling Our World.  The event is for grades K-5 to expose students to real world STEM careers within their own community.

This event is being held in partnership with Maryland Transportation Authority, E-Z Pass, Key Bridge Rebuild Project and The Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study.

Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks before, during and after the event.

Join us at The MoCo Pride Center on Tuesday March 31st for an evening honoring trans resilience, visibility, and joy across generations. Trans Day of Visibility is a time to celebrate who we have been, who we are, and who we continue to become, together.

The evening will begin with a Vendor Fair at 5:00 PM, featuring community organizations, resources, and local vendors. From 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM, we will gather for a Celebration & Dinner, uplifting trans voices, stories, and community through shared space, reflection, and joy.

TDOV: A Day of Community Power & Celebration will feature: Dynamic speakers, including trans leaders, activists, and allies discussing the importance of trans visibility, rights, and justice. Intergenerational programming, fostering healing, storytelling, and mentorship between trans youth and elders. A vibrant reception celebrating trans joy, featuring live performances by trans and gender-expansive artists. Community-building activities and resource tables from trans-affirming organizations, providing attendees with advocacy, healthcare, and empowerment tools.

Students will be partnering with LiYT organizations and the Montgomery Pride family to execute the Trans Day of Visibility programming. This event provides a valuable opportunity for students to educate their peers about the trans and nonbinary community, promote advocacy and inclusion, and discover volunteer opportunities that foster larger connections within the LGBTQ+ network. By engaging in this initiative, students can play a crucial role in raising awareness and supporting the visibility of transgender individuals in our community.

Join MoCo Pride Center for Montgomery County’s largest LGBTQIA+ vendors market!

From 12 PM to 5 PM on the 4th Saturday of every month, MoCo Pride Center hosts an indoor vendor market called “How Bazaar!” From hidden gems to unique crafts made by LGBTQIA+ owned businesses, it’s a shopping experience like no other. Meet our rotating cast of ~20 vendors every time! Come for the shopping, stay for complimentary STI/HIV testing, health referrals, fitness classes, food, and entertainment on a given week. You never know what you’re going to get, so don’t be afraid to BE BIZARRE!

Students can earn SSL hours by volunteering with us at the Bazzar, which features vendor markets designed to support wellness, health, and social connection within the Montgomery County Pride family. Volunteers will assist with setting up and managing vendor booths, engaging with attendees, and promoting resources that foster inclusivity and well-being in the LGBTQ+ community. This is a great opportunity for students to actively contribute to a vibrant event while gaining valuable service hours and making meaningful connections within the Pride family.

The Germantown Historical Society, the Button farm Living History, and a Scout Troop sponsor open air Flea Markets on the first Saturday April through November. Teen volunteers can earn SSL hours by helping with parking within the lot, help buyers carry their purchases, and help to manage the lot and pick up trash -- always in pairs and with adult supervision. Adult volunteers will help with traffic control and supervising the vendors.  The Flea Markets are lots of fun -- you get to meet all kinds of people and dogs, and you get to go around the Market and find your own treasures.

One Montgomery Green (OMG) is hosting a FREE Community Paper Shredding and Electronic recycling event for the community on April 11, 2026. from 10 am-1 pm at the Silver Spring Methodist Church parking lot 8900 Georgia Ave Silver Spring MD 20910.

We are looking for volunteers to staff the information booth, help direct traffic and provide general information about OMG. Volunteers are expected to arrive by 9:30a to help set ups stations.

Volunteers have be to at least 14 years old. SSL hours are available.

Volunteers will create physical cheerful penpal letters to brighten the day of hospitalized children, seniors, and students. These letters will be distributed to hospitals, senior centers, and youth programs to help brighten someone’s day and reduce feelings of isolation. Each letter is 1 SSL hour. Please include a separate cover letter including your name, email address, school name, and number of cards submitted.

Artwork Guidelines:

Artwork can be created using: Colored pencils, markers, watercolor, crayons, etc. All drawings must be fully colored.

Physical artworks should be created on cardstock, watercolor paper, or letter paper (cardstock or watercolor paper preferred). Fold the paper in half and only draw on one side of the paper. The other side will be used to write the letter. You can draw anything appropriate and encouraging. Please avoid violent and scary themes. Some good drawing ideas include nature landscapes, animals, flowers, sunsets, etc. 

Letter Guidelines: Write a letter (6-10 sentences) about: something you did recently, a hobby you enjoy, a favorite place or season, something that made you smile, etc. The letter must fill up the inside of the card. Please do not mention illness, politics, hospitals or write phrases like “get well soon.” Instead, focus on sharing something cheerful about your life. Each completed card counts as 1 SSL hour. Please start with a friendly greeting such as: Hi there! Hello! Please only include your first name at the end of the letter (Ex. Love, Alex). Letters should be handwritten so they feel more personal and genuine to the recipient.

Please do not include any personal information such as your full name, email address, or home address in your notes. Also, please do not include any real-life pictures or images of yourself. 

Examples: 

Submissions must meet basic quality standards. SSL hours will not be awarded if they: Are not fully colored, include AI-generated artwork, appear very low effort (quick scribbles, unfinished drawings), contain inappropriate or negative content, contain unoriginal/copied content (including templates), etc. Please create artwork that you would feel proud to give to a friend or display on your wall. Our goal is to share high-quality, cheerful artwork and messages that can truly brighten someone’s day.

SSL hours for submissions received before Friday, May 22 will be reviewed and sent out on Friday, May 22.

The People's Community Baptist church offers various opportunities to earn SSL hours.  We serve as a food distribution site on Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Volunteers are needed to sort, bag, and hand out the food via a drive-through process.

On the 4th Saturdays (7:30am-9:30am), we serve as a host site for the SHARE (Self Help and Resource Program) food distribution program where volunteers are needed to help package bulk food for distribution.

Quarterly, (on Saturdays), we collect, sort, and distribute gently used clothes to the community.

On the first and third Wednesdays, we host a program/lunch for seniors and retirees (11am to 1pm).  Volunteers can assist in the room set set-up and break down of tables and chairs; and assist with serving lunch and clean up, and/or where needed.

We need volunteers to assist teachers with our weekly Sunday School classes (9am-10am), and with the set of technology equipment, etec.  We use volunteers to assist our media team

We also offer special events and programs that requires volunteers who need opportunities to earn SSL hours. Some of those events include our Annual Easter Egg Hunt; Annual Church Picnic; Annual Hallelujah Party; Annual Vacation Bible School. Students can assist in making decorations, decorating classrooms and hallways; assistance with indoor and out door games; playground

Spend your spring break in a beautiful outdoor setting while learning about native wildflowers, park stewardship, and habitat restoration. Volunteers will work together as a team remove invasive weeds, plant native wildflowers, and tend to the Locust Grove gardens and trails.

This program is designed specifically for teens ages 14 to 17. Sign up to attend the whole week. No prior experience required - just a willingness to work outdoors!

Session dates:
March 30 - April 3

Program runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday.

Participants should bring a bagged lunch and reusable water bottle. Lunch break included in the time allotted.

The Teen Stewardship experience is phone free. Volunteers can store their phones securely in the office. The volunteer supervisor will carry a phone for emergency purposes.

Camp Counselors are required to volunteer for at least one week-long camp totaling 40 hours per session (20 hours for half-day preschool camps). Camps run Monday through Friday. All applicants must attend a Camp Counselor Training on Saturday, June 13 from 10am to 2pm at Locust Grove Nature Center. Camp Counselors must be comfortable working outside for the majority of their shift in variable conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and mud. Camp activities make use of our various outdoor areas including the nature play space, the creek, campfire rings, outdoor classrooms, and our natural surface trails. All volunteers are expected to show up for their shift on time, be fully engaged with their group, report incidents or safety concerns to staff immediately, and proactively work to create a positive camp atmosphere for all. We’re seeking a friendly and organized front-line team member to support our reception area. In this role, you’ll welcome and check in visitors, provide clear information, and help ensure smooth daily operations under the direction of TESS staff. Open Door Sports provides adapted sports programs to children with special needs and is looking for middle and high school aged peer buddies to volunteer their time to work with a player and help them find success and joy on the soccer field.  The program is run by a trained coach and two assistant coaches and the role of the peer buddy is to be a friend to the players and help them to get the most out of their time playing.  The program at Rock View Elementary in Kensington runs from 3:30 - 4:30pm every Tuesday afternoon for a 7 week period beginning on April 7.  We'll finish the season on May 19th.  We prefer for peer buddies to commit to the entire 7 week session.

Join the Community Design Lab for a hands-on Volunteer Build Day as we bring our student-designed conservation garden to life at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown. This is the final step of our Spring Design+Build program, where local students and volunteers work side by side to transform ideas into a living landscape that supports pollinators, manages stormwater, and beautifies the community.

You don’t need any special skills, just a willingness to dig in, plant, and learn. We’ll provide tools, gloves, and guidance. Together, we’ll install native plants like black-eyed susans, purple coneflowers, and butterfly weed, creating a lasting outdoor classroom and gathering space for all.

Join us in honoring Earth Day with a community cleanup and gardening in Prathertown! Together, we’ll make a hands-on difference by keeping our local environment healthy and beautiful on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (weather permitting). 

Spend a Saturday outdoors enjoying the fresh air, connecting with neighbors, and helping care for our planet. Participants will collect litter and recyclables along 1.5 miles Wightman Road. Students can earn SSL hours. We’ll meet at the corner of Prathertown and Wightman Road. In the morning we will be having a community cleanup, followed by sustainable gardening. We will work together to count and take photos of every bag of trash collected for a report to the Department of Transportation. You’re also welcome to bring a canned food item for our Earth Day food drive supporting local families.

Impact

Prathertown is a neighborhood in Gaithersburg originally founded in 1883 by emancipated people. It has a long and deep rooted history that is evident today in Prathertown's many artifacts and historical homes. By volunteering, you will be contributing to the health of Prathertown’s environment and reducing litter. 

By collecting and removing litter from Prathertown, the animals benefit from a cleaner, safer habitat that helps protect them from pollution, injury, and contaminated food sources.

We're looking for dedicated volunteers to help out around our Montgomery County Warehouse, which takes in thousand of pounds of donated food, clothing, toys, household goods, diapers and more each day. Volunteers will help with the following projects: organizing and displaying donations, helping to take inventory, cleaning and organizing our space, making grocery bags for home deliveries, helping to load and unload delivery vehicles and more! Age requirements: We accept volunteers aged 10 and older. Physical ability: While some of these tasks are physically strenuous, we have plenty of opportunities for folks that have physical limitations or other restrictions, and our warehouse is wheelchair accessible. How to prepare: Volunteers should arrive wearing closed-toed shoes and clothing they can move around in and get dirty. Please note that the heating in our warehouse is currently out of service, so please dress warmly, wearing layers and coats for your shift. Description:

Grace Helping Hands is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing toiletry kits and feminine hygiene products to homeless women and children in Montgomery County and beyond. We are offering an impactful volunteer opportunity for MCPS students to earn SSL hours while advocating for those in need.

Volunteers will participate in a writing campaign to raise awareness and request support from local legislators, businesses, and manufacturers. Students will draft emails to local congresspersons, stores, vendors, and manufacturers, urging them to support Grace Helping Hands by donating products or funding.

ArtUnity Youth hosts an ongoing, supervised in-person service program where students create encouragement cards for hospital patients. Each month features a different positive theme to guide artwork/card, art works and messages: March: You Are Not Alone, April: Hope and Strength, May: One Day at a Time, June: Bright Days Ahead, July: Courage in Every Step, August: Keep Going, Volunteers design hospital-appropriate cards, write supportive messages, and help package donations for healthcare partners. All art supplies are provided. Sessions are held in the meeting room at Rockville Memorial Library every Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Students may attend for 1–2 hours within this time window. Registration is required. Students earn 1 SSL hour per 60 minutes of verified participation (maximum 2 hours per session), based on supervisor attendance. All artwork must meet program guidelines and is reviewed and approved on-site by the ArtUnity Youth program manager before SSL hours are verified.

These digital cards will be shared with hospitals, senior centers, and youth programs to help spread positivity and reduce feelings of isolation. Each completed card counts as .5 SSL hours. Due to the overwhelming number of submissions, each person may only make up to 10 cards per month. 

SSL hours for submissions received before Friday, May 22 will be reviewed and sent out on Friday, May 22. SSL hours for submissions received on or after May 22 will be reviewed and sent out in January 2027.

Instructions: Create a digital card that includes a colorful illustration/design and a short encouraging message. Good themes include nature scenes, animals, flowers, characters, positive quotes, etc. Some examples of a short positive message are a positive thought, a message about kindness, something that might make someone smile, etc. Do not include references to illness or hospitals, phrases like get well soon, politics or religion, and personal contact information. Cards can be created through Canva, Photoshop, or any digital drawing software. They should be colorful, appropriate and high resolution. AI-generated artwork, copied images, and low-quality designs will not receive SSL hours. 

Please do not include any personal information such as your full name, email address, or home address in your notes. Also, please do not include any real-life pictures or images of yourself.

The Children-Based volunteer provides students with a hands-on opportunity to support children in a fun, structured ABA environment. Interns assist with group activities, social skills programming, and community-based learning while working closely with experienced BCBAs and RBTs. This volunteer position is ideal for students seeking to complete practicum hours while gaining real-world experience in behavioral health.

Volunteer for the 2026 Montgomery County Youth Media Festival on May 16th from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

The Youth Media Festival is a celebration of youth-created media, where young people showcase their work in activism, storytelling, and digital creativity. Your help will make a huge impact in ensuring the success of this event! This opportunity will count toward SSL hour requirements.

We’re looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks, from event setup and registration to helping facilitate the activities during the festival. Your support helps give youth a voice.

Join Rock Creek Conservancy and Montgomery Parks for a litter removal restoration event at Glenmont Local Park. Trash is the visible form of stormwater pollution, a major threat to water quality and park health and its removal makes the parklands cleaner, safer, and more beautiful for all. This event is part of the Annual Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup - a month-long push to remove litter throughout the Rock Creek watershed!

Event location, directions, and information will be sent from the event leader 48 hours prior to the event.

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the work and weather. We recommend wearing sturdy boots or sneakers and long layers, including pants and long sleeves - this ensures safety and reduces likelihood of exposure to nuisances like poison ivy. 

What to bring: We recommend bringing water, and snacks if desired. Tools and supplies will be provided. Please bring your own gloves if you have them.

Each day is packed with imaginative musical games and creative crafts that bring the magic of movies to life. The week ends with a star-studded performance for family and caregivers!

Rhythm is the heartbeat of music! Meet the beats of rock, pop, and jazz music through hands-on experience with various percussion instruments such as sticks, cymbals, boom whackers, buckets, and drum sets, too! All instruments are provided.

We are excited to invite volunteers to be part of DMV Sprummer Fest 2026, a vibrant community event bringing families together for a day of fun, culture, food, music, and engaging activities for all ages. Volunteers play a key role in making this event successful by helping with event setup, activity coordination, guest assistance, parking management and overall event support.

This is a great opportunity with multiple shifts for students and community members to gain valuable volunteering experience while supporting a meaningful community initiative. Middle School and High School students will receive Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for their participation.

As a thank-you for your support, free parking, food and drinks will be provided to all volunteers during the event.

ALL VOLUNTEERS must:

Be 15 years or older and able to work independently

Be able to lift up to 25 lbs

Come dressed appropriately but comfortably — long shorts or pants, a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt, and closed-toe shoes are required. Volunteers not wearing closed-toe shoes will be sent home

Please bring water to stay hydrated

Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to:

Packing food

Organizing distribution materials

Clean-up tasks

Please note: These duties may involve bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Volunteers must be able to comfortably meet these physical requirements.

Become a historian for the day! Help museum staff transcribe historical documents and make information searchable and accessible for researchers. This opportunity is appropriate for ages 13 and up.

Sessions are offered over Zoom at the following times. Volunteers may register for one or both sessions. Museum staff will attend and answer questions. 

This Transcribe-a-Thon event will focus on documents containing information about Black community members in Sandy Spring.

Student volunteers: Student volunteers may earn SSL hours. Please review our guidelines for student participation and submit a signed permission slip before the date of any Transcribe-a-Thon event in which you plan to participate.

Want a delicious way to have some fun, improve your kitchen skills, learn a new recipe, make some delicious and nutritious food for your family and for others in the community AND earn SSL Hours?? On the first and third Sundays of every month, we will make a large pot of soup together!

This time around we will cook up Vegetable Soup with Pesto led by an experienced student KindSoup Chef via zoom. Join us from the comfort of your kitchen on Sunday, May 3rd from 5pm-6pm.

Students can earn 1 Student Service Learning Hour for every 2 quarts of frozen soup delivered to others. There is a maximum of 10 quarts that can qualify for any given day (5 SSL hours). Most recipes render 6 quarts of soup, 3 SSL hours. 

Please note the following guidelines for student service through live virtual platforms:

1. We welcome all students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, as well as amateur college students.
2. All music levels and genres are welcome.
