We are looking for volunteers to support registration for riders (8:30-10:00am in Bethesda), to usher event attendees to correct locations (8:30-10:30am in Bethesda AND 11:30-1:30pm in Washington, DC) , and to support event set-up and breakdown (8:30-10:00am in Bethesda, 11:30-1:30pm in Washington, DC) . Students can earn 2 SSL hours for making homemade meals (not for store-bought or purchased items). If you are interested in providing a meal to our clients and would like to serve we can have up to 5 volunteers. Masks are required for all volunteers along with a temperature and symptom upon arrival. Breakfast is drop off only. We are looking for volunteers to prepare meals for the 37 clients at the IW Women's Center, located at 2 Taft Ct, Suite 100, Rockville MD, 20850. Meals need to be dropped off at the following times (please note you can drop off meals earlier): · Breakfast: drop off by 6:00 am or the day before · Lunch: drop off by 11:30 am · Dinner: drop off by 6:00 pm Students can earn 2 SSL hours for making homemade meals (not for store-bought or purchased items). The contest is open to secondary (middle school and high school) students, who can earn 10 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for participating.
Students can enter the contest on their own or as a group; however, students may only participate in one entry.
Top prize has been increased to $5,000, second place is $3,000, third place and fan favorite winners will receive $1,000. Cash prizes are being donated by The Magnolia Companies in honor of two young Montgomery County residents lost to fentanyl—Michael Pisarra and Matthew Loudon, both MCPS graduates.

As a result, we are always in need of volunteer home delivery drivers that can donate their time, and their vehicle, to help transport groceries from our pantry to our clients. Requirements: Interested drivers must be 18 years or older, bring their own vehicle, and have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Activity Description: Once signed up, volunteers will reach out to Megan ahead of time, confirming their presence, and then arrive at our pantry on the day and time of their choosing to pick up grocery bags and deliver them. Volunteer: The UpCounty Hub- Distribution Volunteer Needed- 2025 (Germantown Elementary)The UpCounty Hub is serving families in need. We provide fresh produce, shelf stable foods, emergency and hygiene items, and some social services for the families that we serve. Volunteer duties vary from loading boxes into the cars or taking data. Distribution days and times vary depending on the week. Please sign up for the day and time that works best for you.
