The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (AWLMC) is a 501(c)3, nonprofit, all volunteer no paid positions, NO Kill Cat Shelter!  WE are in need of an experienced Grant Writer to assist us in researching and writing successful grants in support of our Cat Shelter. Your talents will directly support our mission of assisting any and all Cats and Kittens seeking their new FURR-Ever Home.

Responsibilities:  (1) Work with our Grant Team in researching available grants from foundations, corporations and the Government (2) In coordination with the Grant Team develop potential clients (3) Help develop a tracking system on submitted grants (4) Work with the various AWLMC Teams for vital information necessary for a successful grant proposal

Qualifications: (1) Experience in grant writing preferred but not mandatory (2) Willing to work with a team

Location: This is a virtual volunteer opportunity with an occasional in person meeting if needed. Mostly meetings with your Grant Team will be via ZOOM to review work progress

Fosters truly needed!  Do you have a love for cats and or kittens?  Are you willing to share their love, their affection and playfulness? Then AWLMC has an exciting opportunity for You - Fostering!  As an Adult Foster you bring into your home a Cat on a temporary basis (normally only 14 days) preparing Her/Him for their FURR-Ever Home.  As a Kitten Foster, the kittens normally stay with you until they are adopted.  Your participation provides the Cat/Kittens with much needed socialization, human interaction which prepares the cat in finding their FURR-Ever Home. Plus you get the joy of their company!  AWLMC provides everything necessary for you to care for Your Cat/Kitten. AWLMC is a non profit 501(c)3 All Volunteer Cat Shelter specializing in finding PURR-fect and FURR-Ever Homes for Cats and Kittens.  As a member of the Intake Team, you will assist in reviewing and selecting  potential cats who are in need of a new PURR-fect Home.  Interested?
