Volunteer: Freckles Foundation Animal Adoption Event- Saturday, November 8, 2025We are seeking student volunteers to help at our monthly community adoption event, held the second Saturday of each month. Under the direct supervision of Freckles Foundation team members, volunteers will: Assist with set up and break down of chairs, tables, and foundation resources. Lifting is required. Help handle puppies, dogs, cats, and kittens during the event. A typical comfort around animals is needed. Learn about the foundation’s mission and goals so the volunteer can engage with community members to share information about our programs. This will require some advance "homework" from the volunteer. Students in middle school will need to be accompanied by an adult the first time they volunteer. This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, earn volunteer hours, and make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
