BlackRock Center for the Arts strives to bring inspiring performances and visual art experiences to a diverse audience in the Germantown area. Our volunteers are a major part of bringing this mission to life! Volunteers provide valuable services to BlackRock while enjoying the opportunity to make new friends and taking advantage of special privileges and experiences.  

Volunteering at BlackRock comes with many opportunities, from concessions, box office, and ushering for our shows to being the face of BlackRock at gallery events, every position is important and vital to our operation!  

As we begin a new volunteer program we would like to get to know you, please fill out our online application at this link: https://www.blackrockcenter.org/volunteer. We will only review volunteer applications through this form.

As of now only volunteers 16+ will be considered for hours. Those selected as volunteers will be sent a volunteer handbook that outlines all positions and training. As of now ALL volunteers will need to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and a booster shot is strongly preferred! 

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.

BlackRock Center for the Arts strives to bring inspiring performances and visual art experiences to a diverse audience in the Germantown area. Volunteers provide valuable services to BlackRock while enjoying the opportunity to make new friends and taking advantage of special privileges and experiences.  

We are looking for individuals to be Information Desk Attendants. In this role, volunteers will answer questions from the public via telephone, email, and in-person. They will also act as the eyes and ears of the lobby and art galleries.

Volunteers will be scheduled to work specific shifts on a weekly basis. The shifts are based on BlackRock’s hours. Currently they are Noon until 4PM, Tuesday through Saturday. We request Volunteers to sign up to work the same day every week throughout the year and remain for the entire shift.

Volunteers will now enjoy one free performance ticket for every 15 hours of service (pending availability of seats), complimentary beverages during your shift, participation in volunteer appreciation events, and additional perks throughout the year.
