Clarksburg Yard has adopted a Gateway Center Drive! This is a 2 -miles stretch that runs from Shawnee Lane to Clarksburg Road and is parallel to Frederick Road behind our property.

Every other month, we will be organizing a group of Middle and High School Students to clean up trash along the road. Our mission is to participate in a community activity by keeping county-owned roadsides litter free. This opportunity is held outdoors and near the roads. We are asking all volunteers to read and have an adult sign the consent form prior to the event.

*Minors will NOT be able to participate without completed consent form.*

----- What will I be doing? You will meet at 9am at the Clarksburg Church and walk over to the designated area. You will be equipped with gloves, hefty trash bags, and pick-up tools. NOTE: You will be working outside, so please bring water bottles. Additionally, we are asking all volunteers to wear bright colored clothing and comfortable, closed-toed shoes.

Yard Crew is a student-led volunteer program designed for middle and high school students who want to make a difference in their community while developing valuable leadership skills.

Participants will help plan, organize, and support community events, work alongside other students, and gain hands-on experience in teamwork, communication, responsibility, and problem-solving.

More than just volunteering, Yard Crew provides opportunities for students to take initiative, build meaningful friendships, serve others, and grow as leaders in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment.

Students can earn SSL hours while making a positive impact and helping create memorable experiences for the community. Whether you are looking to get involved, develop new skills, meet new people, or give back to your community, Yard Crew is a great place to start.

Stay Local Saturdays was created to celebrate Clarksburg’s vibrant local community by showcasing small businesses, makers, and community organizations in a welcoming, festive setting. Held on the second Saturday of each month, these themed events connect neighbors with high-quality local products, creative experiences, and family-friendly fun. Our goal is to support and spotlight local talent while creating meaningful opportunities for vendors and partners, and memorable gatherings that invite the community to shop local, connect, and celebrate all that Clarksburg has to offer.

What will I be doing? Volunteers will help create a positive and organized experience for everyone attending the event. Responsibilities may include helping with set-up and clean-up, greeting guests, assisting with activities, supporting local vendors or booths, helping families navigate the event, and making sure activity areas stay clean and welcoming. Volunteers may also help answer questions and assist event leaders throughout the day as needed.

The market is held outdoors, so we encourage all volunteers to bring water bottles, wear comfortable clothing, and closed-toed shoes.

The Clarksburg Farmers Market is a fun and welcoming community event where local families, students, and neighbors come together to support local vendors and enjoy time together outdoors. Throughout the market, visitors can explore fresh produce, handmade items, baked goods, local businesses, games, and activities for all ages. Our mission is to create a space that encourages community connection while supporting local farmers and small businesses.

What will I be doing? Volunteers will help create a welcoming and organized environment for guests and vendors throughout the market. Responsibilities may include helping with set-up and clean-up, assisting vendors, running games and activities for kids, greeting guests, helping with directions, and supporting the overall flow of the event. Volunteers may also help keep activity areas clean, organized, and engaging for families attending the market.
