Who We Are
SCORE DC is one of 300+ SCORE chapters across the US. SCORE started volunteering with small businesses in 1965 and has grown to be the largest nonprofit free small business mentor with over 10,000 volunteers
The DC chapter has 90 mentors, subject matter experts, non-mentor volunteers and workshop presenters.
What Volunteers Do
SCORE DC mentors typically meet our small business clients in one-on-one, video, email and phone settings based on the clients needs.
Our subject matter experts provide mentors specific information based on their expertise.
Non-mentor volunteers typically work with our Chapter Chairs, providing administrative assistance and completing specific assigned tasks.
Workshop volunteers meet with the Workshop Chair, discuss topics of interest to clients, prepare powerpoint slides and present either workshops already created or new ones.
