Who We Are

The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (the RAC) is a hub of Jewish social justice work. As a joint instrumentality of the Union for Reform Judaism and the Central Conference of American Rabbis, we represent the values of the largest and most diverse Jewish Movement in North America. The RAC mobilizes around federal, state, and local legislation; supports and develops congregational leaders; and organizes communities to create a world overflowing with justice, compassion, and peace. As part of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, our work is completely nonpartisan.

What Volunteers Do

We accomplish our mission of a more just, whole and compassionate society through educational events, voter registration, and leadership development.

During election season we send out postcards to voters encouraging them to register and to the vote. Volunteers help create postcard kits to send to volunteers. Volunteers then write the postcards.

We also advocate on several different issue. Volunteers help to do research to develop background material about the issues. Volunteers also help to organize information about Members of Congress.
