Who We Are
MelodeeBee Music is a student-run charitable organization that strives to expose music, nurture growth, and provide resources for the next generation of young musicians.
What Volunteers Do
MelodeeBee Music is dedicated towards providing musical opportunities and inspiration for the next generation of young musicians. Through various events, mentorship programs, and fundraising, we connect musicians, guide students' musical journeys using personal experience, and work to make instrumental music more accessible.
Expose: MelodeeBee Music promotes musical interactions at an early age. Alongside developing new interests and discipline, studies have shown that starting music young also positively impacts a child’s brain connectivity and development. We organize musical events for elementary school students to get exposed to various instruments and types of music, sparking interests for future engagement, and providing information to help them start their musical journey.
Nurture: Young students often lack the information and guidance necessary when first starting an instrument which results in discouragement and loss of interest. Students find themselves overwhelmed with too many important decisions and not enough experience. MelodeeBee Music aims to combat this struggle by offering mentorship opportunities for students to build relationships with an experienced high school or college student. This mentorship is a mutually beneficial relationship that allows younger students to feel more prepared and motivated while building leadership in mentors.
Provide: Learning instrumental music has its hurdles due to its considerable financial commitments. Students who are unable to purchase an instrument face difficulty gaining access to an instrument, not to mention a musical education. Through donation drives and fundraising, we hope to make instruments more accessible to those without the same opportunities.
