Volunteers attend regular meetings to help keep the Library Board Liaison and the Regional Manager apprised of community input and feedback about the library. There are two officer positions, Chair and Secretary, that help schedule, run, and notate meetings.
This is a great, low-commitment chance to serve your community and have a tangible effect on your local library. Just in the past seven years, LACs have helped provide feedback on the director search, created surveys to gather information from the community, suggested volunteer activities for local library users, and provided crucial input on developing programming that meets the needs of the community.
