Kingdom Cares - East County Hub

KGCDC is a faith-based community development organization rooted in the belief that every person deserves to be seen, served, and supported with dignity. Operating through the Kingdom Care Center in Calverton, Maryland and the East County Hub in Eastern Montgomery County, KGCDC delivers programs addressing food access, clothing, health navigation, community education, and resource connection for individuals and families across Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties.

Volunteers with the Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation play a vital role in bringing our mission to life every day. At the East County Hub, volunteers serve directly in East Montgomery County communities by helping address food insecurity through the distribution of fresh produce, proteins, and shelf-stable items to individuals and families in need. Volunteers also have the opportunity to support back-of-house operations by packing food items, diapers, and hygiene products that are distributed to residents across the community. At our Fresh Food Market, volunteers assist with receiving, sorting, stocking, and distributing food through our client choice model — ensuring that every family who comes through our doors has access to nutritious options and a dignified shopping experience. Volunteers help create a welcoming, organized, and efficient environment that reflects the heart of our organization. In our Clothing Center, volunteers assist with organizing inventory, setting up displays, supporting clients as they shop, and maintaining a clean and inviting space. The Clothing Center provides affordable, quality clothing to community members at little to no cost, and our volunteers are essential to making that experience a positive and affirming one for every person who walks through the door. Whether working on the distribution floor, behind the scenes, or directly alongside community members, every volunteer at Kingdom Cares contributes to an experience rooted in dignity, compassion, and genuine care for the people we serve.
