Women Palante

Who We Are

Women Palante is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that focus on a Wellness, Health, and Success Program for Latina Moms.

The entire program is built around a business and wellness development initiative whose goal is to support and educate moms to strengthen their business, financial, health and well-being skills and literacy, helping them to develop strategies for work-life balance.

The main pillars for our programming are:

  • Community: Building a bilingual and inclusive environment and opportunities to support one another, personally and professionally
  •  Wellness and Personal Development: holistic approach to wellness that looks at physical health, nutrition, mental health and personal growth and development - as a woman, as a mother, and as a business owner. The goal is to help moms purposefully and successfully manage their own wellness and health while taking care of their families, their finances and their businesses.
  • Business Education and Financial Awareness: we want to inspire, encourage and support Latina moms with a business idea to be able to bring that idea to fruition. We recognize that everyone may be at a different point in their journey, so we aim to offer services that range from introductory courses to increase financial planning and confidence at home through a comprehensive step-by-step program to launch/scale businesses

What Volunteers Do

Women Palante offers high school volunteers the opportunity to gain meaningful leadership and service experience while supporting Latina entrepreneurs and mothers. Volunteers can assist with the planning and logistics of in-person and virtual workshops and events focused on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, mental health, wellness, time management, and motherhood.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to support marketing and communications through social media management, graphic design, content creation, photography, videography, storytelling, translation, and research; provide tutoring or teach introductory classes in areas such as computer literacy, digital tools, English conversation, academic subjects, and wellness (including nutrition, yoga and dance classes among others); contribute to community outreach and participant engagement; assist with logistics in fundraising initiatives and special events; and participate in team meetings and projects that help strengthen the foundation's impact within the community.
