Who We Are
We are an Episcopal church in the Washington diocese. We are committed to welcoming and serving all people, respecting their beliefs/nonbeliefs. Our congregation celebrates personal dignity across the full spectrum of faith, ethnic, cultural, race, and gender/nongender specific identifications.
What Volunteers Do
Week-long, half-day summer program open to all children ages 4-10 without regard to faith tradition. Our program does not require a fee payment from registrants and so is accessible to all families. Offer arts, crafts, play, hands-on science activities, nonfiction and multi-cultural tales and fiction on featured themes of learning about the natural world (i.e. geosciences, agriculture, animal life). We offer leadership training for youth in middle school and high school to help them acquire/practice skills of working with children, leading younger students, reporting on time and following the directions for assorted activities throughout the day. Youth leaders assist with arts, crafts, hands-on science activities as well as engage in recess games and assist with snack and lunch.
