Who We Are

The Montgomery County Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health, Inc. (aka "MC Federation") is a family peer-run organization that serves families in Montgomery County who have children, youth, and/or young adults with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges. The MC Federation works to ensure that family members are treated as equal partners at every level of decision-making. MC Federation promotes a system of care that is family-driven, youth driven, community based, and  culturally and linguistically competent.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers will assist with events such as resource fairs and family events, help families find resources, work on social media and outreach, do advocacy such as writing letters to legislators and testifying, preparing and giving presentations, work on web design, do data collection, conduct social influencing to promote mental health and wellness and suicide prevention, developing marketing materials, help write grants, and much more.
