City of Rockville: Recreation and Parks (Croydon Creek Nature Center)

Croydon Creek Nature Center is operated by the City of Rockville, Department of Recreation & Parks. The Center, which opened in 2002, is located just 10 minutes from Rockville Town Center. Nestled amid 120 acres of the beautiful John G. Hayes Forest Preserve at Rockville Civic Center Park, we provide opportunities for residents and visitors alike to encounter the wonders of nature in a suburban environment.

To support our mission, programs, and services, we welcome volunteer support! Volunteers continue to help the center grow by donating their time and energy in a variety of positions such as animal care, special events, environmental education and trail maintenance.
