Who We Are
Potomac Academy is a Virgnina based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to help students in metro DC area from 6 to 12 grader to learn, to share, and to shine with three skill sets, two mindsets, and one business. Students would also learn from presentation, TEDx talk, MBA mini case studies, pitch, and 1st year Big4 accounting essentials. Students would be able to learn, execute, and share from attending monthly workshops and annual summer camps.
What Volunteers Do
We provide a platform that is student-centric: students/volunteers learn first, and execute second, and teach younger students/ volunteers from the community. And the process repeats until the youngest kids/ volunteers learn and execute. In the process, volunteers help design the learning materials that can help younger volunteers to learn and to practice. In the positive virtuous cycle, we reinforce and strengthen every volunteer’s learning experience of the concepts of entrepreneurship. In the meantime, the participants from the community all learned from seniors and shared with juniors.
