RISE ON ICE CORPORATION

Rise on Ice is a student-run charitable organization that is dedicated to nurture the growth of all aspiring figure skaters. Ice skating is difficult for many to take part in. Oftentimes, financial hurdles and a lacking sense of community bar participation in the sport and discourage skaters to pursue what they love. Rise on Ice is committed to solve these problems by encouraging community, equality, and guidance. Our Vision Promote a community where skating is fun and inclusive. Build a network of support for skaters to help each other. Assist skaters in developing perseverance and passion to thrive both on and off the ice.

Community is a crucial pillar of ice skating. Many skaters find that without a strong community, it is difficult for many to keep interest and motivation. Rise on Ice strives to ensure every skater feels included and involved by organizing events both on and off the ice. Student volunteers will participate in organizing social media posts and writing blogs about topics that will benefit the community.

The expenses of equipment, sessions, and lessons make it challenging for many to participate. We strive to give every aspiring skater a chance to fall in love with skating despite financial obstacles by organizing used equipment donations and free online tutorial videos. Student volunteers will participate in editing tutorial videos.

Guidance - Without proper guidance, many novice skaters are denied opportunities to expand their abilities. More often than not, they find themselves feeling discouraged and lost without direction. Rise on Ice seeks to give skaters of all ages and skill levels the best resources to improve. Student volunteers will organize online workshops to educate other skaters to stay healthy and strong both physically and emotionally.
