Who We Are
For nearly 50 years, Capital Caring has helped families and loved ones make the most of every moment together by offering coordinated care, comfort and dignity to those living with serious illness. We provide excellent pain relief and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and compassion to families across the region. Capital Caring is open 24 hours every day. Anyone who needs help staying independent and safe can access our services, regardless of their ability to pay. We tailor care to your specific needs.
What Volunteers Do
Hospice volunteers are ordinary people of all ages with extraordinary talents who share a common bond--concern for others. There are opportunities to assist with patient support, companionship, respite, deliveries, administration, veteran recognition/ceremonies, music and animal therapy, pediatric birthday celebrations, sewing, tutoring and more.
No previous experience is required and orientation/training is provided. Flexible scheduling available.
The program serves patients in Prince George County and Montgomery County.
