Who We Are

BBYO is the leading worldwide, pluralistic Jewish youth movement currently spanning 60 countries and engaging more than 65,000+ teens as the principal provider of Jewish travel and service-learning. Organized in tandem with expert local travel partners, BBYO programs combine the best of informal education and travel expertise. Our programs embrace pluralistic Jewish values and provide opportunities for inspiration, connection, and community.

What Volunteers Do

BBYO is a pluralistic Jewish youth group for 8-12th grade teens. Each summer, we run teen trips to Israel, Europe, and the Americas, many of which include community service projects (ranging from 4-25 hours per trip). Teens volunteer in community organizations to pack food for the hungry, supplies for the unhoused, participate in environmental projects, and more (projects vary by trip). Many BBYO teens have received approval for their service through the SSL program in prior years, and have asked that we become certified to make the process simpler.
