Who We Are

Families4Families empowers student leaders to address food insecurity and enact positive change in their local communities. F4F’s unique model elevates the power of young leaders and grassroots organizations. With over 55 chapters in the Greater Washington D.C. area and 30 national chapters, F4F’s Student Chapters are building meaningful relationships with community-driven organizations across the country. Our vision is that this model will inspire the next generation of change-makers, philanthropists, and social entrepreneurs.

What Volunteers Do

Students organize food collection events (including finding people to donate groceries, volunteers to help at the collection site, and volunteers to drive the groceries to a nonprofit partner) and partner with local nonprofit organizations (i.e. Friendship Place, Jubilee Jumpstart, Nourishing Bethesda, Life Pieces to Masterpieces, etc.) to get groceries and other essential items to families in need.
