Who We Are
Who we are Artis Senior Living Community offers those with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia the opportunity to actively engage in the world around them. At our memory care community in Olney, MD., there are opportunities like regular Town Hall meetings or the chance to weigh in on our dining menu during our Time to Dish sessions, where your loved one is encouraged to contribute to the betterment of the community. When it seems like dementia speaks louder than the individual, we give them back their voice. Artis Senior Living was founded by the Bainum family, well known for their decades of success in a variety of industries since 1944. The late Stewart Bainum Sr. opened his first state-of-the-art nursing center in 1960 and went on to create and operate a variety of successful senior living and healthcare residences including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Nursing Care communities. History At Artis Senior Living, our mission is to provide the finest senior care and best everyday life for older adults who are in need of Memory Care and Assisted Living. We accomplish this through individually designed programs combined with a compassionate dedication to each resident’s comfort and needs. Mission Through our mission, our associates, residents, and their families join together to create a haven of dignity, empowerment, well-being, and comfort. Vision By caring for the human being and remaining positive, we find and embrace opportunities that still exist for each resident, regardless of their diagnosis.
