Who We Are
FRESHFARM builds a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food system in the Mid-Atlantic region. Since 1997, FRESHFARM has worked to produce innovative solutions for our local food system in partnership with local communities and organizations. We create food access, economic development, and thriving communities through hands-on education, farmers markets, and food distribution programs.
What Volunteers Do
We have a few different opportunities for volunteers...
- Weekly volunteers can support hands-on food education Tuesday-Friday at one of our 21 partner elementary schools around DC, or our school-based farm stand on Tuesdays in Takoma Park.
- Occasional volunteers can support cafeteria taste tests at one or more of or 5 partner schools.
