Who We Are

The Prince George's County Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer and Club Program offers an exceptional work-based training experience for young individuals who aspire to pursue careers in law enforcement and public safety. In collaboration with the Learning For Life Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America, we have developed a comprehensive youth program that not only fosters citizenship but also builds character while enhancing physical and mental fitness. With a rich history dating back to 1976, our Explorer Program has been dedicated to serving the youth of Prince George's County. We offer Explorer Posts in each of our police patrol divisions, providing an exciting and engaging environment for young men and women to develop their skills and knowledge in law enforcement. Our program caters to two specific age groups. The Prince George's County Police Law Enforcement Exploring Program is tailored for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 21. For our younger participants aged 10 to 13, we offer the Prince George's Law Enforcement Exploring Club Program, designed to introduce them to the fundamentals of law enforcement.
