The mission of Montgomery County Recreation is to provide high quality, diverse, and accessible programs, services and facilities that enhance the quality of life for all ages, cultures, and abilities. Many of these programs are supported by volunteers, who contribute their time and their talents to enhancing the quality of life for the more than 80,000 residents who participate in Recreation programs each year. Montgomery County Recreation manages over 30 facilities including, community centers, senior centers, and aquatic facilities. Thousands of programs are provided each year, such as out-of-school activities, aquatics, youth and adult sports programs and leagues, community events, senior and older adult programs, and therapeutic recreation activities.
