Montgomery County Fire Corps

We are the Department of Volunteer Services (DOVS) inside Montgomery County Fire Rescue (MCVFS). Our team has a Division Chief who reports directly to the Fire Chief, Corey Smedley. Our team provides operational and administrative support to the volunteer fire departments spread across the county who all operate together with the paid, county employee firefighters. We track activity and calls, perform background checks and physicals on new applicants, provide volunteer benefits, maintain a database of everyone who has ever volunteered, and organize community outreach and support of the volunteers.

Assist with the Montgomery County Fire Rescue system, including supporting volunteer efforts, information, recruitment, support and perhaps becoming volunteers themselves.
