Who We Are
The North Woodside Citizens’ Association represents all residents of the neighborhood* and advocates for their collective interests and builds connections between and among residents of neighboring communities and beyond.
What Volunteers Do
Students learn how a neighborhood civic association is organized, its leadership, purpose and role in the community. Students will learn new skills by supporting events such as community clean up, tree planting and gardening, helping homebound neighbors, welcoming new residents, assisting with neighborhood events and festivities, learning about issues of concern between and among residents in neighboring communities, meeting elected county and state officials, and the role of advocacy, and building connections between and among residents in neighboring communities.
