Lift Every Step

We are an non-profit organization committed to increasing access to essential footwear by collecting new and gently used shoes for those in need around the DMV area.

Student volunteers with Lift Every Step support our mission of increasing access to essential footwear for individuals and families in need. SSL-eligible volunteer activities include organizing, cleaning, inspecting, and sorting donated shoes; preparing shoes for distribution; creating informational materials to support donation drives; helping assemble and label donation boxes; and assisting with approved shoe collection and community service events under adult supervision. Through these activities, student volunteers help ensure that donated footwear is properly prepared and distributed to the communities we serve.
