The Little Wind Phone Project

Who We Are

The Little Wind Phone Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful spaces for remembrance, reflection, and healing. We partner with communities, schools, parks, and local organizations to install Wind Phones—symbolic phones placed in peaceful settings where people can speak to loved ones they miss and express what is on their hearts. In addition to Wind Phone installations, we develop educational and community-based resources that help people, especially children and families, navigate grief, loss, and emotional wellness with compassion and hope.

What Volunteers Do

Student volunteers play an important role in helping us expand our impact. Volunteer opportunities may include: Assisting with community outreach and awareness campaigns; Supporting fundraising and donation drives Helping create educational and social media content; Assisting with events, ribbon cuttings, and community programs; Researching potential installation sites and community partners; Contributing to projects that support children's grief education and emotional wellness.  Volunteers gain experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, communications, and project development while helping create resources and spaces that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
