Who We Are
The mission of Friends of Stead Park is to create a safe space where children and families can connect and create a greater sense of community in the heart of Washington, DC.
Friends of Stead Park shall achieve its mission by:
* Producing child and family friendly programs and events.
* Maintaining an attractive, welcoming environment.
* Collaborating with the Department of Parks & Recreation, local residents and existing users of the park to create an accessible, inviting space for all ages to enjoy.
What Volunteers Do
Support youth-oriented events throughout the year and park cleanups.
